The War Inside

↓ The story within

This is not
a war game.
It’s a game
about memory.

Films compete with games.
Games compete with sleep.

The War Inside channels that attention into empathy: a narrative game that aims to teach a generation about catastrophic destruction and death through a child’s experience in Gaza.

Developed in consultation with a trauma therapist, it also aspires to support children in Gaza and other communities facing trauma.

No weapons. No enemies. No combat. Just memory, breath, and the war that moved inside.

Creating for her people.

In Gaza, Doaa was the lead designer and CEO of a video game publisher that created a range of games, including games that taught children how to stay safer from COVID-19.

After losing much of her family and escaping to Cairo, Doaa now wants to create games that help those same children process the trauma they have experienced in recent years, while helping Western audiences understand what has happened in Gaza.

The War Inside will be the launch title for Bayan Games, her new Palestinian video game studio.
